In response, Sykes took his customary first over wicket. The steady flow of dismissals continued to leave Bergholt 65-5. A stunning catch at fine leg from Webb gave Hill his second wicket (2-63). An increasingly dangerous partnership was ended with a sharp take by Beeton at gully off the evergreen Sykes (5-33), who added yet another Left-hander to his list of scalps.
The win was confirmed when Barnett (37) was superbly caught one-handed in the deep by Meekings off the dependale I Reed (2-7).
