Brockley versus Long Melford - Midweek Twenty20 (12 August)

With a severe shortage of regular players available, Brockley's team included county level players from both Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, Fordham's premier wicket taker this year, and just for good measure, one Billy Bagel. Despite this wealth of talent, Brockley could only manage to score 87 from their allocated overs - the forementioned Suffolk player scoring 35 of these. Nobody else could find their way into double figures. In reply, Fordham's premier bowler, Phil Dean picked up an early wicket. Runs were then accumulated until a late wicket from Billy the Baige gave Brockley something to cheer. Ruth bowled two tight overs at the end, and the Shinn Bone almost broke his toe with his first delivery. A comprehensive loss but midweek champions none the less.
