Newmarket is world renowned as the horse racing capital of the world, and it certainly has the credentials to back up this claim. With two racecourses, the July Course and the Rowley Mile, you will be able to watch the sport of Kings to your hearts content. The town is also home to the British Racing School which provides training and education for people employed in the racing industry. The National Horse Racing Museum, the Jockey Club and the National Stud can also all be found in Newmarket.
In way of other sports, the town takes its lead from its proud racing heritage. Newmarket leisure centre has just had a multi million pound make over, including the addition of a new swimming complex, complete with a 25m swimming pool and teaching pool.
